Having worked in the heating industry for 33 years, an excellent grounding in training with Shell, installing various gas & oil domestic installations as well as commercial and industrial installations, including maintenance and repairs under the wing of a number of experienced, knowledge second to none, engineers, my introduction to the industry was a fulfilling one. 

Going on to working briefly for a large building firm and then for a busy emergency plumbing & heating company, initially as a fault finding engineer, progressing to area manager I then created ST Plumbing & Heating Services employing a number of engineers, installing and repairing plumbing and heating systems (gas ,oil, renewables and solid fuel systems) with fair charges and quality of service, for my growing number of customers, in mind. 

My early engineers staying with me for a number of years eventually moving on with families, some emigrating, others diversifying into other aspects of the building industry.

These quality engineers being difficult to replace, the cost of new required certifications being brought in, I decided to concentrate on the servicing and repairs of gas & oil boilers and whilst updating knowledge with various manufacturers, I also become involved with the Aga type range cookers.

Asked to work as an “in warranty/commissioning fault finding engineer” by Rayburn, Alpha cookers as well as being recommended by other manufacturers such as Stanley, Esse, Sandyfords, constantly in contact with each, my experience with these wonderful, purposeful, practical appliances has grown…… I have one myself too …..

With the ever development of these appliances, the mini recession we have experienced, as with most engineers I carry regular components required with me, major components being ordered and delivered next day, again if in stock with suppliers.

 

So there you have a little about me and my experience.

As I specialise in maintenance and repairs of oil and gas fired appliances, I do cover a large area, from Little Hampton to North London to Margate and a little further at times.

I use a large touring motorcycle as transport, this enabling a predictable journey time, ease of parking upon arrival with no congestion charges when working in London.
